Beta - The Italian manufacturer, mainly producing off-road motorcycles. The history of the Beta trademark began in 1904.
At that time, the production was called Societa Giuseppe Bianchi and specialized in the manufacture of high-quality bicycle equipment. This small enterprise in 1940 turned into a highly equipped factory, which received the new name Beta.
In the decoding of Beta, the initials of the son of the founder of the company Enzo Bianchi and his father Arrigo Tosi, who was the chief engineer of the company.
In 1948, the plant produced a motorbike with a two-stroke engine with a volume of 50 cm3, which was located near the rear wheel. The transmission of torque to the wheel was carried out using a rubber roller.
The debut model with all the motorcycle performance in 1950 was a device called Ital JAP. In this model there was a light tubular frame with a telescopic front fork, in which a push-pull power unit with a working volume of 125 cm3 was installed. Motorbike Beta has successfully participated in road and off-road amateur championships.
The Italian company received great celebrity by releasing a series of motorcycles for the trial. Well-known racers such as Jordi Torres, Dougie Lampkin and Albert Cabestany performed on this motorcycle.
In 2005, Beta introduced a range of enduro motorcycles to the consumer. These devices were equipped with power units of the well-known company KTM. Five years later, engineers at the Beta plant developed and released a project for the company's new motorcycles with engines of its own production.
